I seen an add on the local craigslist for some VW parts, the guys said he had some sheet metal, engine parts, and a terminally rusted 66 beetle body and some other various parts for $300. I offered him $250 and figured that I might be able to use some of the parts and maybe cut off parts of the body to widen our beetle, or maybe use the front end of the body for ours??? I figured that I would easily be able to sell what I did not want and make my money back.

So if you seen anything you might want, email me with an offer.

When we got there it was all the parts he discribed, but the bug body was actually a complete car minus the interior and engine! I figure I will be able to use some parts here and there from this lot, but I should be able to sell the parts car and some parts and make some money on this deal to fund the project!!!
Luckly the previous owner was nice enough to pull the beetle to our house on his trailer, and we just loaded all the parts into our truck.

Here is the beetle sitting in the driveway, the driverside rear brakes were dragging pretty bad so I got out my dolly's from the other beetle so I could move it around easier.
